Island Hopping in Santorini: A Luxury Weekend Guide

Sofia RossiJune 2, 20256 min read

Three days is enough time to experience Santorini properly if you plan around the island's two real luxuries: caldera views and unhurried time. Here's how I'd spend a long weekend if the goal is pure indulgence.

Day 1: Arrival in Imerovigli

Imerovigli sits at the caldera's highest point, quieter than Oia but with arguably better views. Check into a cave suite with a private plunge pool and do nothing else on arrival day.

Day 2: Private Catamaran and Wine Tasting

A private catamaran tour around the caldera, stopping at the hot springs and red beach, followed by an afternoon wine tasting at a clifftop winery in Pyrgos.

Book the catamaran for late afternoon

Afternoon departures catch the caldera in golden light and end with sunset on the water, away from the crowded Oia viewpoints.

Day 3: Akrotiri and a Farewell Dinner

A morning at the Akrotiri excavation site, then a final caldera-view dinner in Oia, timed for sunset but booked at a quieter restaurant away from the main square.
